NEW YORK, NY—May 28, 2021—National Cartoonists’ Society President JASON CHATFIELD announces on the new THE CARTOON PAD podcast episode just released as to the status of the next NCS Reubens event scheduled for this Fall 2021 and how it will be handled. The cartoonist, illustrator, stand-up and actor JASON CHATFIELD also talks about his home Australia, becoming a TV star, getting Covid and his run-in with Chis Rock.

THE CARTOON PAD is quickly becoming the hot new podcast in the cartoon community. Hosted by humorists and veteran New Yorker cartoonists, Bob Eckstein and Michael Shaw THE CARTOON PAD is the first podcast that pulls back the curtain and celebrates New Yorker cartoonists. The Pad also casts a wide net, covering topics from legendary tales of early-career perseverance, the rapidly evolving cartoon industry, plus historical (and hysterical) appreciations. Conversational, convivial, and occasionally controversial, the coolest people in the cartoon community stop by to hang out “The Pad.” Recent guests have included Victoria Roberts, Nick Downes, Sam Viviano, Carol Issacs, Sam Gross, Marisa Acocella, Mort Gerberg.
