Weekly Humorist EIC Marty Dundics featured on NPR AirTalk to discuss MAD Magazine

NEW YORK CITY, New York – Weekly Humorist’s Editor-in-Chief Marty Dundics was a guest on NPR’s AirTalk to discuss the discontinuation of new monthly content for MAD Magazine by DC Comics and what the iconic comedy publication meant for a generation of Americans and its influence on popular culture. Other guests included MAD Magazine and The New Yorker cartoonist and writer Jason Chatfield, MAD artist Tom Richmond, MAD writer Kit Lively and MAD historian Maria Riedelbach, author of “Completely Mad: A History of the Comic Book and Magazine”

The quick satire parody is a throwback to the hard radio news with the teletype machines and booming news anchors. The writers are pulled from the collective of creative voices from the masthead of the Weekly Humorist team. The Weekly Humorist Podcast is a audio version of the online magazine featuring the writers and staff performing their satire written work.
